飞龙寨是江湖上一个大帮，三位寨主龙麟、贝奋、陈英杰及麟之妹龙珠，替天行道，驰誉武林。一天，寨外来了一高手，名叫洪威，旋风剑厉害无比。大、二寨主以洪勇武可钦，并结拜为兄弟，誓言曰：若有违誓，五雷轰顶而亡。此时，武林黑道黑虎堂，大举攻占飞龙寨各地分舵，麟怒，亲领人马驰援，留洪、珠镇守大寨。麟等走后，洪即占领龙搴。原洪为黑虎堂党羽，期间，杀总堂主而自立，并散播谣言，使杰、珠不能立足武林。杰、珠苦极，藏身隐秘处。珠苦练绝招‘五雷凿’，杰则自毁容，混入黑虎堂卧底。后麟觅珠得，始知中计，遂合力抗洪aaa
1973年由罗炽执导武侠片《五雷轰顶》，乃七十年代的武侠影后茅瑛电影代表作品之一，她在戏中有着精湛的演技，且动作敏捷，值得电影珍藏。片中还有田俊和白鹰合演。茅瑛其他电影代表作有《合气道》、《铁掌旋风腿》和《天龙八将》等。
电影讲述飞龙寨是江湖中出名的大帮，龙麟、贝奋、陈英杰(田俊饰)及麟之妹龙珠(茅瑛饰)担任寨主。洪威(白鹰饰)是武林高手，大寨主和二寨主与他结为兄弟，他们的誓言是若有违誓，五雷轰顶而亡。武林黑道黑虎堂进攻飞龙寨，龙麟大怒，亲领人马增援。洪威此时便霸占飞龙寨，原来他是黑虎堂的党羽。洪威杀害了总堂主，同时散播谣言，陈英杰和龙珠因而不能立足于江湖。龙珠练成了五雷凿的功夫，而陈英杰则毁容和混入黑虎堂……
